State Representative Nick Santucci (R-Niles) has announced that the Ohio Department of Development is distributing $1.4 million in grants and tax credits to support homeownership efforts across six counties. The Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corporation is set to receive $270,000 in grants for the rehabilitation of nine homes.
“This type of investment is critical for revitalizing our neighborhoods and making homeownership more accessible for Ohioans," said Santucci. "I'm proud to have championed funding in the budget for the Welcome Home Ohio program, and I'm glad to see $270,000 awarded to the Trumbull County Land Reutilization Corporation. This funding will help attract families back to the Lake to River region, strengthen our communities, and make a real impact for the people of Trumbull County."
The grant is part of the Welcome Home Ohio program, which has built or rehabilitated 440 single-family houses over the past two years. Recent changes made through House Bill 96—Ohio’s Operating Budget—increased funding for this initiative and updated guidelines to allow broader participation by residents seeking homeownership.
