Majority Whip Nick Santucci expressed support for the recent announcement by Governor Mike DeWine regarding Kimberly-Clark Corporation's plans to build an $800 million manufacturing facility in Trumbull County. This project is expected to create 491 new jobs.

"This project marks a transformative milestone for Trumbull County and the Lake to River Region," remarked Majority Whip Nick Santucci. "Kimberly-Clark’s $800 million investment in a new manufacturing facility is a testament to our region’s resilience, workforce potential, and strategic location. I was proud to play a role in moving this project forward by voting to approve these funds while serving on the Ohio Controlling Board. This project not only revitalizes a historic industrial site but also creates hundreds of jobs - strengthening our community’s economic foundation. Just as importantly, it opens the door for supply chain businesses to relocate or expand into the Lake to River region, building a stronger ecosystem for long-term growth. As we continue to build on this momentum, I remain committed to supporting policies that foster innovation, attract investment, and position our region as a competitive hub for manufacturing excellence."

The decision by Kimberly-Clark reflects Ohio's appeal as a destination for global companies due to its business-friendly environment, energy infrastructure, and central location within reach of more than half of the U.S. population.

This facility will be Kimberly-Clark's first in Ohio and will help the company grow in the American market. The over one million square foot facility in Warren will increase manufacturing capacity for its personal care products in categories such as Baby & Child Care and Adult & Feminine Care. Situated near 117 million consumers, it will serve the Northeast and Midwest regions.

The project is part of the existing Warren BDM Redevelopment Area and received $17.2 million from the All Ohio Future Fund to assist with site readiness and infrastructure. The site encompasses Howland Township, Warren Township, and the City of Warren, with room for future expansion.

Construction is set to start this month, with completion expected in two years. Kimberly-Clark, headquartered in Dallas, employs 46,000 people across 34 countries. Its brands include Huggies, Kleenex, Scott, and more, with products available in over 175 countries.
