State Representative Nick Santucci has announced the formation of a bipartisan Lake to River Caucus in Ohio. This initiative aims to enhance cooperation and discussions on business development in Northeast Ohio, following the introduction of the JobsOhio Lake to River Region.

Santucci expressed optimism about the potential for economic growth in this part of the state. "I was excited to hear about the creation of the new JobsOhio Lake to River Region and believe this is a unique opportunity to attract new businesses," he said. Highlighting recent economic improvements, he noted that "in the Youngstown-Warren-Boardman area, the annual average unemployment rate dropped from 5.7% in 2019 to 4.2% in 2023."

Representative Santucci will lead the caucus as Chair, with Representative Tex Fischer serving as Vice Chair. Other members include Representatives Sarah Fowler Arthur, David Thomas, Lauren McNally, and Monica Robb-Blasdel.

Fischer emphasized collaboration's importance: “Collaboration is key to making sure our region gets what we deserve.” He expressed enthusiasm for working with fellow representatives to advocate effectively for their communities.

The caucus plans monthly meetings.
