State Representative Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) expressed his condolences to the Comp family following a fire that destroyed the milking parlor and damaged other buildings on their dairy farm. The incident occurred on Sunday.
"My condolences go out to the Comp family, who recently had a fire on Sunday that destroyed the farm's milking parlor and heavily damaged other buildings on the property," said Loychik.
Loychik praised the community for their swift response in helping the farm find temporary accommodations for over 1,000 dairy cows. "I applaud the community's efforts, truck drivers, farmers, workers, and volunteers who have stepped up in the last few days to help find temporary accommodations for more than 1,000 dairy cows while the Comp family repairs their facility. Your efforts are truly commendable and appreciated."
Loychik assured that his office, along with Representative Fowler Arthur's office and other state and federal partners, are closely monitoring the situation and exploring all available options.
He encouraged those with questions or concerns to contact his office at 614-466-3488 or rep65@ohiohouse.gov. An official Facebook page has been created to assist the Comp family during their rebuilding process.
"Follow this link for continued updates,” he added.
