Ohio Controlling Board approves $17.2M for Trumbull County projects

State Representative Nick Santucci announced the Ohio Controlling Board's approval of $17.2 million from the All Ohio Future Fund to support various projects in Trumbull County. The funding will be allocated for site preparation, transportation improvements, and environmental remediation across over 1,000 acres in the areas of Warren, Howland Township, and Weathersfield Township.

Representative Santucci expressed his support, stating, “I am honored today to vote in support of $17.2 million in funding for Trumbull County. This investment will support site preparation, transportation improvements, and environmental remediation across over 1,000 acres in Warren, Howland Township, and Weathersfield Township. These enhancements are designed to attract business growth and create jobs in our community.”

The approved projects include constructing a regional industrial access road and addressing existing brownfield sites, which are expected to stimulate economic development and job opportunities. The project also includes the closure and capping of several oil and gas wells in the region.
