State Rep. Mike Loychik | The Ohio House of Representatives
State Representative Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) expressed his support for the Ohio House's decision to override Governor DeWine's veto of House Bill 68, also known as the SAFE Act and Save Women's Sports Act. Loychik, a parent himself, emphasized the importance of legislation that safeguards the rights of parents to oversee their child's medical care.
Loychik stated, "As a parent, I support legislation that protects my right to oversee my child's medical care. There is no question in my mind that today's veto override was needed to protect women's sports and our children from life-altering surgeries and experimentation."
The veto override of the SAFE Act will now move on to the Ohio Senate for further consideration.
