The City of Hubbard has an opening on on the Park & Recreation Board. Volunteering provides an opportunity for citizen participation in the process of government and increase their knowledge and skills by working with a variety of people on issues that might not otherwise be a part of their private lives. Serving on a board or committee is one of the most effective ways for citizens to give back to the community and influence city policies and activities.
To be eligible for an appointment, volunteers should have interest or knowledge in the subject matter. Volunteers should also be available to meet at the committee’s regular meeting time (Every Third Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Council Chambers) . Residency in the City of Hubbard is also required.
Please submit your letter of interest in person to the Mayor’s Office or via email to d.madeline@cityofhubbard-oh.gov . The Mayor will review the applications and make his recommendation to the Council President. The appointments will then go before the City Council for confirmation.
