Majority Whip Nick Santucci (R-Niles) responded to the news of Aptiv's Plant 10 closure in Warren, Ohio. The facility's shutdown will result in the loss of 63 jobs, impacting Howland and Trumbull County.
Santucci stated, "Aptiv’s Plant 10 closure and the loss of 63 jobs is a disappointing announcement for Howland and Trumbull County." He has been in contact with the Lake to River economic development team. They have reached out to company officials and union leadership to explore potential solutions.
"My office stands ready to support all involved if necessary and appropriate," Santucci added.
The situation remains under discussion as stakeholders seek ways to address the impact on local employment.
