State Representative Mike Loychik (R-Bazetta) responded to Steward Health Care's announcement of their intention to close Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital in Warren, Ohio.

"It's a shame to see Trumbull Regional Medical Center and Hillside Rehabilitation Hospital's plan to close on September 20, but it is encouraging to see city officials and residents speak up and work to keep this vital community resource open," Loychik stated.

He emphasized the importance of these medical facilities for local residents. "It is essential for our residents that the medical center and rehabilitation hospital stay open to effectively serve the community and keep jobs in the area. Our doctors and nurses play an invaluable role in keeping our community healthy and safe."

Loychik commended Mayor Doug Franklin's efforts: "I applaud Mayor Doug Franklin's work already being done, and I am working with the Attorney General and House Leadership to explore solutions to this looming problem on the state level."

In his statement, Loychik expressed appreciation for the community's collective efforts. "As your representative for the 65th House District, I am deeply moved by the community's united front in safeguarding our essential resources. Your efforts are a testament to our collective commitment to the well-being of our community."
