Dye Mill Compost Facility to Open

The City of Troy has again contracted with JB Lawn and Landscaping to operate the City-owned Dye Mill Road Compost Facility. The contractor will reopen the facility on March 2, 2023, with the following hours of operation:

  •         Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 11:00 a.m.  – 7:00 p.m.
  •         Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  •         Wednesday and Sunday: Closed
The facility will remain open through November 25, 2023. It will be closed on Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day, and Thanksgiving.

The Dye Mill Road Compost Facility is available for use to all City of Troy residents. 

The facility accepts compost materials including grass, brush, leaves, garden refuse (excluding fruit), and clean “hard fill” materials such as rocks, bricks, and concrete. To use the facility, Troy residents must provide proof of residency.
