2022 Annual Meeting

Meeting909

Boardman Native George Limbert, President of Red Roof Inn, To Keynote Chamber's Annual Meeting April 7!

The Regional Chamber is excited to welcome Red Roof Inn President George Limbert to keynote the organization's Annual Meeting, starting at 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman!

Limbert, a Boardman native whose family still calls the township 'home,' oversees 660 Red Roof locations in 40+ plus states in the U.S. He joined the company as corporate counsel in 2013 and was named to the top post in August 2021. The 1999 graduate of Boardman High School would learn much about the hotel industry from his grandfather, an entrepreneur, real estate investor and hotel who is believed to have opened the first La Quinta near Cincinnati in the 1970s, as well as about business from his father, who practiced corporate law before becoming a federal court judge.

Limbert is known for his philosophy of listening more and talking less and made it his mission to visit every Red Roof location when he became president. On his Look & Listen Tour of those facilities, he gave owners and operators the opportunity to let him know what was working and what wasn't to help guide decision-making at the corporate level.

The Columbus resident received a degree in business from The Ohio State University and earned his law degree at the University of Dayton. Limbert is also an adjunct professor teaching Franchise Law at The Ohio State University, Moritz College of Law.

Also at the Annual Meeting, the Regional Chamber will present its annual Spirit of the Valley and Spirit of the Chamber Awards, as well as its Valley Champion Award to a special guest. Chamber President & CEO Guy Coviello will also update attendees on what the organization has been working on and what's coming for the rest of the year and beyond.
